Ignition was formed around 1992 from a random Craigs list "looking for bass player" ad that hooked up Jim (bass) and Chris (Vocals) and shortly after that Craig on guitar.
Ignition (then called 13th Floor) began writing original music that fused the various members influences which ranged from Gothic to Metal/Hard Rock to Fusion. Ignitions initial music included some songs we still play (Talisman, The Latest and Madelina).
Over the years the only member changes we have had are drummers. The same core (Chris-Vocals, Jim-Bass and Craig-Guitar) have been performing together for the duration.
Ignition currently plays both old and new original material that spans many styles and continues to be truly original. We can probably be best characterized as "Alt/Hard rock". We have played many shows over the years. A few venues (all in SoCal) include

In December of 2021, Chris fell ill and succumbed to his ailment leaving behind a lifetime of success as a Husband, Dad and Grandpa as well as a friend and a musician. He left us way to soon, but we feel like wherever he is he is still laughing and having a blast. Rest in Power my Friend.
We think he would have wanted the music to go on until we are collectively unable to or do not care to play anymore. So we plan to continue to write and keep our Ignition heritage music polished.
